Dover

Dover is a major hub for transit in Seacoast New Hampshire. Many of the COAST bus routes connect in Dover. You can also use the COAST bus to connect with C&J (to Boston/Logan Airport and points beyond), or the Amtrak Downeaster (to Portland, ME or Boston, with station stops between either).

Dover by street, region, or major attraction (roughly north to south):

Note that all of the routes through Dover share "Downtown" in common. In fact, every route above serves the Dover Transportation Center (the train station, located on Chestnut St.). Most connections between bus routes happen here. Some, especially routes 1-3, also transfer at Shaw's. If you need to change bus routes, let the first bus driver know right away, so they can notify the next bus in time.

Durham/UNH

The University of New Hampshire (main campus) is located at Durham. All public transit routes in Durham are operated by Wildcat Transit, which is a department of UNH Transportation Services. Wildcat Transit runs routes 3, 4, and 5 from the UNH campus to the surrounding towns of Dover, Portsmouth, and Newmarket. Wildcat Transit buses work almost exactly the same as COAST buses do, although Wildcat Transit and COAST are not one organization. Routes 3-5 are open to the public just like COAST buses. Please see the Wildcat Transit webpage for more information.
